We’re trying something new!

Hi, guys. I haven’t written in awhile, I know,  so if you’re still out there listening: thank you!

I’m still pregnant (baby girl #2 is due in May!) and finally feeling a bit better than in previous months. I’m calling a halt to my blogging break and I’ve also decided to reflect the changes in my life with some changes in the blog. I was feeling a bit like Fifty-Cent Head was getting lost in the myriad other beauty blogs, but I know we have something else – something MORE – to give the world! So I’m going to try to show you what we have in a brand new way.

What you can look forward to:

• Product Info.
  • New products, new collections! We love makeup, so we want to know what’s new (just like you!). We know this info is covered elsewhere, too, but still want you to be up-to-date just from a visit here!  Kind of like one-stop-shopping! While we encourage discussion in the comments about these products and collections (we’re makeup addicts, too!), we’ll keep the posts pretty straight-forward because they’re not “the meat” of the site. But we’ll dish more in the comments!
• Reviews.
  • We know you want product reviews! But they’re not our only reason for being here, so they won’t be the bulk of what we do. That said, we love doing them! We want your opinions, too, so please suggest, volunteer, and vote away in the comments. We’ll be grading school-style, with a A+, B- sort of format. Disagree with out grade? Let us know!
  • PS: Most reviews will be limited to color cosmetics, rather than skincare.  Most… or not. We’ll see how it goes! We’ll still share lots about fragrance and nail polishes, too, because we’re addicted.
• Makeup artistry will feature strongly. More lessons! More tutorials! More tips and tricks! All straight from the mouth of a makeup artist (because that’s what makes us different from other bloggers).
  • We’ll try some video tutorials. Why not!? If you want to share your tutorials with the class, contact us!
  • We’ll be introducing a new method of showing makeup techniques. We know not all of our readers look just like us, or just like each other. So we want to be able to show everyone (no matter their skintone, age, shape, or features) ways to find their most beautiful self. We’ll do lots of beauty makeup (everyday looks) and some fun, crazy stuff too. There are no limits in this classroom! Stay tuned for the reveal in the next few days! (And be sure to let us know what lessons YOU want to see!)
• Face-of-the-Day
  • This isn’t going to be a regular feature, but we’ll try to post as often as possible. (Maybe even with models other than the artist!) Want to submit your FOTD? Please do! Email us at fiftycenthead@gmail.com.
